When an animal arrives at our shelter and realizes they will never see their families again because they’ve been abandoned to fend for themselves like an inanimate object, they often cry for days, hardly eat, and rarely engage. Only following that can we begin the heartbreaking and ever-taxing work of helping them to trust again.

As you probably know, our shelter has been bursting at the seams for about 2 years, especially with dogs. We no longer have the space to take in more dogs until we find homes for those we currently have. Do you have what it takes (love and patience) to open your heart and home?

The average cost for us to care for an animal is $415. If other care such as dental or blood work is needed, that jumps to $615. Our animals are spay/neutered, receive vaccines, de-wormer treatment, microchips, healthy food, a safe place to live, and plenty of TLC from our staff and volunteers.
