Licensing for Dog Control

Homeward Bound Pets provides dog control services in Yamhill County.

Homeward Bound Pets Dog Control aims to reunite lost dogs with their owners and help families find a wonderful family pet and life long companions.

Dog control doesn’t handle dogs barking, as it is code enforcement.
For barking dogs, please call phone number is 503-434-7305 or use this form on the City’s website to file a complaint.

Dog License Drop Box

Please note you can NOT use the drop box if you have received a No License citation, you must License in person.

To process your application the information below must be included in your envelope.

Renewal

  • Renewal Mailer (or dog license number) – Please indicate if any of the following needs to be changed
    • mailing and physical address
    • Phone number and cell or emergency contact number
    • E-mail address
  • Valid rabies certificate – if required per renewal form
  • Check, money order, or exact cash – write license # on check or money order

New License

  • Valid rabies certificate is required
    • Please verify your rabies certificate has:
      • Your name
      • Current mailing and physical address
      • Phone number and cell or emergency contact number
      • E-mail address
      • Dog Breed, Age, Gender, Color, and microchip number if applicable
    • Check, money order, Credit card or exact cash – write license # on check or money order

Your License will be mailed to you within 2 weeks, however inaccurate or missing information may delay your renewal process.
